Finally: My DeviantArt Page!

After attending several conventions as an artist, with numerous fans were made through various means (sketchbooks, sketches, and commissions), and tons of business cards having been handed out, I can finally say 'Yes' to the number one question asked by all who have stopped by my table - 'Do you have a deviantArt page?'!

It will take me a while to upload all of the deviations I have done in the past couple of years and I will also try and upload pictures of various sketches and commissions I've done at the conventions and from my cozy little corner of the universe.

Chicago Comic-Con 2010

I will be making my 4th appearance as an artist in Artist Alley at this year's Chicago Comic Con! If you're attending this weekend, swing on by table 3320 and say 'Hi'! Also I'll be selling my 2010 Con Exclusive Sketchbooks and a some Limited Edition Prints of original artwork. I will also be taking on commission work throughout the weekend. So if you want an exclusive piece by yours truly, be sure to get your name on my list quickly!

I'm In The Daily Herald!

The Daily Herald covered the Comic Book Mania! 2010 Convention I attended this past Saturday. The article mentions me because of an impressed little girl I requested a sketch.

"I really liked her designs," Chantelle said of artist Serena Guerra's work at the convention. "I like fantasy - it makes your imagination come out."

Comic Book Mania! Convention 2010

I will be attending the Comic Book Mania! Convention at the Gail Borden Public Library in Elgin, IL. I'll be showing off my portfolio and doing some sketches. Since it's only a one day convention, I'll be taking commissions to be worked on at home and ship them out once finished.

On Saturday, July 10, we are comic book mania from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m. We've got guest artists - Art Baltazar, Tiny Titans, Billy Batson, Magic of Shazam!; Dave Dorman, Batman, Magic the Gathering and more.

There will be a Best Costume Competition for all ages at 2:30 p.m. and we have a Starman Film Festival All Day. We will also host a Magic Tournament at 10:15 a.m. and a Heroclix Marvel/DC Tournament at 1:15. p.m. There also will be comics vendors on hand. ~ Gail Borden Public Library

Farewell Kiddie Kandids...

With the sudden closing of Kiddie Kandids I, as well as hundreds of others, am left with a terrible uncertainty in tough times. But, I will still fondly remember Kiddie Kandids as one of the best jobs I've ever had, with the best people ever. I learned so much and I will always appreciate them for that. I know I will be keeping in contact with so many of the wonderful people I met there in the past couple years and I wish them all good luck.
